This is the technique I want everyone to know. Okay, maybe I want everyone to know all of the techniques I use, but this one is so easy you can be a pro in about 30 seconds.
This technique that was introduced to me by 3 different people in the same week (a sign! right?).
My chiropractor told me it’s the best thing he’s ever seen for healing adrenals and fatigue (better than any supplement).
I feel like everyone needs this.
It’s called the Heart-Focused Breathing Technique (by HeartMath Institute).
Do it every day for just 5 minutes.
I’ve seen a big shift from it — feeling calmer, more gratitude, and yes, more energy.
It creates what’s called heart coherence, described by HeartMath as a state of cooperative alignment between the heart, mind, emotions and physical systems.
(From HeartMath: Maintaining your focus and breathing through the heart area leads you naturally into a state of ease. When you’re ready to proceed with the rest of your day, you’ll do so with more energy and resilience for future challenges.)
1. Heart Focus: Focus your attention on your heart area. Breathe a little deeper than normal, in for about 5 seconds and out for the same. You may find that placing your hand over your heart helps you maintain your focus there. 2. Heart Breathing: Now imagine you’re breathing in and out through your heart. Picture yourself slowly breathing in and slowly breathing out through your heart area. Now, if you can, bring up a feeling or image of gratitude (someone or something that makes you feel good). 3. That’s it. Repeat this daily (more than once if you’d like) and I’m confident will notice a difference in how you feel. |
